Oh What Fun we have each year at the Destin Christmas Parade!

The Emerald Coast Parrot Head Club hosts an annual music event giving all proceeds to a local charity. The recipient of the most recent event was Fresh Start for Children and Families, a local organization that helps people who may be struggling financially get their feet back on the ground.

Parrot Heads across the country supported the Alzheimer’s Association in an effort to find a cure for Alzheimer’s. The ECPHC participated this past year and in the clubs first effort raised over $3000. Over twenty members participated and we finished 2nd in the amount raised for our area.

Living on the Gulf Coast with it’s emerald green waters is paradise for parrot heads. We care about our community and take part in beach clean ups four times a year. .

Each year clubs from all over the country gather in Key West in what is known as a Meeting of the Minds. This is the biggest gathering of the phlock with over 200 clubs in attendance. We are traditionally well represented.

The Emerald Coast Parrot Head supports many local causes. We raise over $15,000 annually but we also volunteer over 10,000 hours in support of the community.

There has always pirates sailing these waters and for one day a year the Emerald Coast Parrot Heads take over Crab Island. We gather  for a little PHun in the Sun on a Saturday after all of the tourist have gone and reclaim our waters!

Every May we are allowed to dress in our best pirate attire and take to the streets in the Billy Bowlegs Parade in Fort Walton Beach. The club looks forward to sharing it’s treasures with the village children and letting their pirate flag fly!
