Panhandle PHunFest Volunteers Needed

Volunteer Information

We wanted to follow up with some details about the volunteer positions we need to fill for our Panhandle PhunFest event this September. Hopefully this info may inspire you to know where you want to volunteer!

Sponsor Committee and Volunteers: Work to recruit local companies and individuals to participate as actual sponsors for our event. They will receive recognition on the event website, recognition at the event, a gift plaque to say thanks, and follow up thank you letters with tax deduction details. Any and all club members should feel free to recruit sponsors if you know someone you are comfortable to approach. We will have a form available very soon with a description of the sponsorship levels available.

Raffle Committee and Volunteers: Work to solicit and collect donations for Raffle Items to be placed in a Raffle for the event. Items will be on display Friday evening and Saturday. Tickets will need to be sold prior to and at the event collecting names/phone numbers. Tickets will be placed by the purchasers into containers in front of the item they wish to win. A random drawing will select each winner. Each winner will need to be notified and arrangements made to get the Raffle item to them. Thank you notes will need to be written to folks donating items with tax deduction information included.

50/50 Committee and Volunteers The 50/50 will take place on Friday evening. We need folks to sell tickets.

Registration Committee and Volunteers: These folks track the registration forms that are submitted for pre-sold admission to the event. Guests who register will receive an event T-shirt, an event badge, and a wristband that will get them reduced food/drinks on Fri/Sat. This committee will tally how many t-shirts in what sizes are needed, prepare event badges with correct names on them and provide wrist bands for each registered guest. This committee will have all items together for registered guests to pick up on Friday evening at Cocodries. Committee needs to account for all items handed out via signature of guest (or whatever plan this committee comes up with to track items)

Admissions Committee and Volunteers:This group of volunteers will be responsible for working the entrance(s) to the event on Friday and Saturday. We are asking club members with club badges to pay $1.00 to receive a wristband for reduced drinks/food. Non club members will be asked to pay $5.00. Wristbands are good for Friday night and Saturday.

Beer Committee and Volunteers: These lucky volunteers are responsible to sell tickets/wristbands (after ID'ing for age) or serve beer from a beer truck. This hopefully will get enough volunteers to work folks for no more that 2 hours per shift.

Club Booth Committee and Volunteers: Saved the best for last! Our own club will set up a booth to sell OURSELVES! We can answer club interest questions, provide membership information and we can also sell our tropical and blinky items. The profits are ours to earmark for a charity of our choice. Our booth will be in a great spot to see and listen to the music.

Children's Event Committee and VolunteersWe are also looking for some volunteers to help out in our children’s section on Saturday (12 Noon to 4PM).

We need Face Painters, Balloon Makers, and volunteers to work our Dunking Booth, Moon Walk and Cotton Candy Machine.

If you are interested in helping out in one or more of these areas, or know of someone who would be able to donate their time, e-mail Diane at Wolfcry97@aol.com

Dunking Booth Committee and Volunteers: We also need members to sit in the Dunking Booth (and hopefully bring in lots of friends who want to do the dunking). Shifts start at 12 Noon and change every half-hour. The Navarre Welcome Center in the Park has bathrooms for those who want to change after their dunking shift!  E-mail Diane at Wolfcry97@aol.com with the time that you want to sit in the booth and 2nd choice (first ones to volunteer get their pick in time).

So that is it in a nutshell...more details will follow. We are working hard on every angle, but need help to really be successful. If you want to work on a committee or as a volunteer (or both - feel free to sign up for more than one), e-mail Diane @ wolfcry97@aol.com with names, phone numbers and what you are interested in volunteering for if any of the above looks like fun to you
